"I hate waiting."

As you might guess, I'm a bit impatient. I had hoped that picking up a pair of knitting needles would help me learn about the virtue of patience... but it seems I just want my projects to go along as quickly as possible.

It's Almost illegal

how much fun I'm having with this round of SP. Not only has my pal already sent an e-card, and a real card in the mail, but today I had

shoved in my mail box. (I live in a high rise, so the mailboxes are small PO box sized). Ok. you can't really see the box. But I wanted to show the process of opening...

I was on my way to Capuvino to meet Theresa (who doesn't have a blog), and got my mail on my way. I demonstrated an incredible amt of willpower by not ripping into it immediately, but waited until I got to the coffee shop so I could properly appreciate everything.

Inside?

Cosmo loved the gifts too!! The Yarn Harlot's new book, some super cute magnets in flower form, and two stamps!! The stamps are of my favorite ocean mammals, the dolphin and orca (killer whale). My SP's been paying attention...
I can't wait to read the book, and I better not start tonight b/c I'm sure I'd be up all night.

I worked on the scarf for the scarf exchange (and leave a comment if you want to be notified when sign ups for round two start)... sorry no pics. Thursday, i hope.

and... has anyone else seen this blog?

And i thought i had visited most of the local coffee shops.

A scarf exchange sounds fun, count me in. I agree, the 3rd and 4th sock syndrome would definitely do me in at this point. great sp gifts too. i need to get busy on mine!

Oooo--the new Harlot book; I'm waiting for mine to come in the mail. I'll bring the patterns to the next meetup and you can see them in person(since the pic isn't showing up)

Ohh that Mile High Buzz blog looks cool I think the Ink on Little Raven would be a great place for a knit night too!!! Ok I am biased to ones that are relatively close to me.

Thanks for the link to my blog :-) I've added yours to my blog as well. Knitting... I've thought about trying that out. i have a colleague who knits on planes. He carries the FAA regulation that allows knitting needles on planes in his picket when he travels, but still gets funny looks when he pulls out some long sharp objects on the plane. LOL...

I hadn't heard of all these coffee shops, but I did enjoy checking out the coffee lovers' blog. Pretty neat.

So... are you all a knitting club? I seem to remember meeting some folks from "stitch and bitch" who used to meet at Armazem (now "hooked on colfax") a while back.
